Mr Fusco succeeds Robert May, who had served as Calpine’s CEO since December 2005 and earlier in 2008 announced his intention to retire when his successor was in place.
Mr Fusco brings nearly 25 years of industry experience to Calpine. Mr Fusco recently served as chairman and CEO of Texas Genco until 2006. From 2002 until July 2004, Mr Fusco was the exclusive energy investment advisor to Texas Pacific Group.
