The A2 and A5 blocks are located in water depths of between 600m and 1,000m and cover a total surface area of approximately 2,666 sq km.

The company will operate these blocks with 85% interest and this award is subject to submission of an environmental impact assessment and signing of final petroleum exploration licenses within three months.

CAMAC chairman and CEO Kase Lawal said the blocks A2 and A5 represent highly sought after assets in one of the world’s most exciting hydrocarbon provinces, the West African Transform Margin.
