The five-year agreement, which lasts until 2018, was signed by Capgemini Sverige and E.ON Elnät.
The deal will allow E.ON to consolidate its service providers, IT systems and operations in Sweden.
As per the deal, Capgemini will manage just under half of E.ON’s portfolio of smart meters in Sweden.
The technology firm will also provide services that include regular and scheduled meter reading, field services, service desk, management reporting, data centre hosting and application management.
The deal also requires Capgemini to manage subcontractors like telecommunications, software providers, meter manufacturers, and field service providers.
