Capstone’s net loss was $7.7 million, or $0.05 per share, for the third quarter, a decrease of $0.8 million from the loss of $8.5 million, or $0.08 per share, reported for the same period last year.
Research and development costs were $1.8 million for the third quarter, a decrease of $0.2 million, or 13% from the same period last year.
Capstone’s backlog at the end of the third quarter was $13.1 million of which $11.2 million is short term. Total backlog increased approximately $2.7 million, or 26% from the second quarter ended September 30, 2007, and approximately $5 million, or 62% from the end of the same period last year.
