The company is currently conducting a pilot project in the Bandundu region of Congo and wants to achieve a funding by the end of the year to proceed with the hiring of over 300 people and planting Jatropha Curcas on an area of over 14,000 hectares of degraded lands.

Carbon2Green chairman Andre Bergeron said that as the biodiesel market is booming, the company believes that the decision can be very beneficial for its shareholders.

Carbon2Green’s main business activities are under the Clean Development Mechanism, an arrangement under the Kyoto Protocol monitored by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
