Funding is part of the NYSERDA’s Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Demonstration Program that will help install 325 charging stations across the state of New York, US.

The CarCharging EV charging stations will be made available in multi-residential buildings besides monthly parking garages and will be powered by ChargePoint network.

CarCharging CEO Michael D. Farkas said, "The deployment of our EV charging services throughout New York City is a continuation of our efforts to extend our reach to support growing sales of electric vehicles and increased consumer demand for EV charging services."

Explaining its initiative Francis J. Murray Jr. president and CEO of NYSERDA said that EVs offer a cleaner alternative to combustion engines, helping to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and the emission of greenhouse gases.
