The exploration program comprises line cutting in anticipation of geophysical surveys, stripping and channel sampling, followed by drilling the best anomalies and geological targets. The project covering an area of 900 hectares is located in the Buckingham Valley area of southwestern Quebec.

The Canadian miner has outlaid an investment of $365,000 for the program that is expected to be concluded by the end of summer 2013.

According to a geophysical survey conducted by the Quebec Government in the 1960 returned two linear conductors on the Cavan property, measuring 200m and 1,000m in length, respectively.

Fourteen grab and channel samples recovered from the long conductor recorded carbon values from 0.46% to 11%, with the greater value in a 4m-wide banded paragneiss, the company stated.

In addition, Cavan has also recovered a grab sample from the second parallel conductor at 400m north of the larger conductor that returned 21.70% organic carbon from schistose paragneiss containing large flakes of graphite.

The potential revelations have prompted the company to outline the exploration program.
