The a 1.75 MW Nickel 1 solar facility will be located in Kern County and the construction is expected to begin this year.
The interconnection of the plant is expected to take place in early 2012.
Upon completion, the plant is expected to generate about 3,000MW of clean energy and reduce the carbon dioxide emissions by 6,500,000 pounds every year.
