The other county requirement needed before building permits could be approved, a traffic study is complete.

“We’re re-looking at our construction schedule,” said Jennifer Silva, public relations manager for Chevron Global told the Casper Journal.

Natrona County Planner Blair Leist is “comfortable that the safety of citizens is addressed” by the traffic study.

Chevron Global will have to do signage and have flaggers at certain times for traffic arriving from both north and south at the time of construction. There also will be a cutback in speed limits.

The commissioners will assess and formally issue the road use agreement and bond language before building permits are issued.

According to interim County Attorney Heath Duncan-Malone, the response for the filed petition will be filed with the court within a few days.

Chevron Global is planning to hold community meetings on the fourth Tuesday of every month during construction. The next meeting is planned for May 26, 2009 with a location pending.
