The facility will be built by Chubu’s subsidiary Chubu Plant Service.
Construction work on the power project will commence this month and the plant is expected to be commissioned in June 2016.
Using woody biomass materials, the facility will be capable of generating about 50 million kWh of electricity annually.
The power plant will generate electricity required to meet the needs of around 13,800 local households annually while reducing 26,000t of CO2 emissions, reported SeeNews Renewables.
