The company spud the well to its target depth of 4,100ft and based on the drill stem tests and electric log analysis, it intersected multiple potential oil bearing reservoirs.

Circle Star Energy CEO Jeff Johnson commented, "The analysis of data gathered during the drilling and testing process is very promising. We look forward to completing the well and reporting a production rate as soon as it is available."

Circle Star has scheduled to begin the completion of the well later this month.

Several oil discoveries have been made in Trego County since 1920s and the area has so far produced 67,012,964 barrels of oil.

The company owns 25% working interest in the well and operates it and has 20% net revenue interest until payout of the Trego County well, after which its working interest will be 43.75% and net revenue would be 35%.
