The ground-mounted solar system will be developed at a capped landfill near Dinuba’s wastewater treatment facility to reduce energy costs for operations at the wastewater treatment plant.

Comprising 4,704 photovoltaic modules, the system will sit atop a capped landfill near Dinuba’s wastewater treatment facility, which is the city’s largest energy-using facility.

Tioga Energy has agreed to finance, manage and own the project, that comprises 4,704 photovoltaic modules, while Chevron Energy Solutions is providing design, engineering and construction services for the installation.

Tioga Energy, through its SurePath Solar power purchase agreement, will sell the generated electricity back to the city at predictable rates over a period of 20 years.

The City of Dinuba’s solar installation is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of this year.

Tioga Energy is a provider of renewable energy services to commercial, government and non-profit institutions.
