The Ichthys CPF, which is expected to the world’s largest semi-submersible platform, will have a topsides weight of 70,000t.
Under the contract, Clough will be responsible for the preparation and execution of offshore hook-up activities and assistance to commissioning.
The firm plans to commence work under the contract in the first quarter of 2016.
Additionally, the engineering and technical teams will be deployed to the SHI fabrication yard located in Geoje, South Korea, prior to moving offshore in the Browse Basin, 200km off the northern coastline of Western Australia.
Clough will carry out project management work from its office in Perth with technical support of Clough’s Korean joint venture, CloughCoens.

Located in the Browse Basin, offshore from Western Australia, the Ichthys field is estimated to hold a resource base of 12.8 trillion cubic feet of gas and 527 million barrels of high value condensate.
The Ichthys LNG project is a being developed jointly by Inpex, Total, CPC Corporation Taiwan and the Australian subsidiaries of Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Kansai Electric Power, Chubu Electric Power and Toho Gas.
