The pilot system is expected to demonstrate the full spectrum of advanced capabilities using Itron’s single and three-phase meters that would be deployed under the smart grid network architecture.
Under an agreement, Itron will supply smart meters, data collection software, meter data management software, Itron Cellular Solutions, and Cisco’s Connected Grid Routers and Connected Grid Network Management System.
Itron Energy Group, Asia Pacific vice president Alan White noted that the architecture from Cisco and Itron will provide a flexible platform for CLP Power’s future initiatives.
