The company will deliver the first 5MW of PV modules to MPower during 2010, followed by the second and third installments of 10MW and 15MW of PV modules in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

The contract is expected to pave the way for both MPower and CNPV to develop additional solar projects in markets such as Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Renewable energy is poised to play an important role in the total energy mix in the future and this contract is expected to consolidate the position of both the companies to support broader adoption of the technologies for renewable energy production.

MPower managing director Paul Sharp and MPower general manager of sales and marketing Brian O’ Malley jointly said, “CNPV has an excellent reputation for delivering premium quality, high density power output PV Modules and they have demonstrated this unequivocally during our exploration with them.

“MPower is thrilled with this new strategic partnership agreement, which we consider to be a continuation of our already strong relationship and are excited to share in the future growth in the region with CNPV. We will now offer CNPV’s premium products and service to all of our customers.”
