The company has signed these contracts, valued at approximately $3m, with five separate electric utility companies. The electric utility companies cover several geographical regions in the US, including one contract for a utility outside the US.

Over the past seven years, the company has proven that regenerated catalyst costs less than new, and it could be availed faster than purchasing new catalyst. These significantly reduce landfill and has a much lower CO2 footprint than new catalyst. The company has regenerated around 14,000 modules of catalyst, many during actual plant outages.

Bill McMahon, chief executive officer of CoaLogix, said: “The confidence in our process and services that is exhibited with these five contracts is humbling. The fact that three out of the five contracts are from new customers exhibits the increase in services that coal-fired plants will require in the near future. The majority of this work will be completed this year and is only possible because of our plant expansion completed in the last year.”

CoaLogix focuses on providing services to coal-fired generating facilities to reduce their environmental footprint through technology, optimization and efficiency improvements. CoaLogix owns SCR-Tech which provides selective catalytic reduction (SCR) management services and catalyst regeneration technologies used by coal-fired power plants to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions.
