Version 1.2 is an extensive demand response platform for utilities and their customers, empowering them to understand their energy usage, control costs and promote grid reliability, Comverge said.

Bud Vos, chief technology officer of Comverge, said: “This upgrade is another part of our overall plan to achieve the highest level of interoperability for all customer classes as we move toward a smarter grid.

“Apollo Version 1.2 will still provide the same features and enterprise-grade security and reliability as its predecessor but with more features that allow utilities to develop their smart grid according to their needs and timeline and based on a specific customer profile.”

Apollo Version 1.2 features demand response functionality including customer recruitment tracking and analysis tools, customer notification tools and customer performance analysis for commercial & industrial (C&I) customers.

Michael Picchi, interim president & CEO of Comverge, said: “This is yet another milestone for Apollo and our efforts to bring a unified solution to the market that will make the smart grid vision a reality for our utility partners and their customers. Apollo is a first-in-its-class solution that puts Comverge at the forefront of the industry and gives utilities the flexibility to fully realize the benefits of the smart grid at their own pace and based on their own unique needs.”
