This solar power installation will consist of 37,000 ultra lightweight UNI-SOLAR brand photovoltaic solar panels, manufactured by United Solar, a subsidiary of Energy Conversion Devices.
The rooftop installation, which occupies an 869,294ft2 area, is estimated to generate 6,362MWh of electricity for the facility on completion this year.
Constellation Energy will sell the electricity generated by the system to Toys"R"Us facility under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
The rooftop system is in line with requirements set by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, New Jersey Highlands Council and Mount Olive Township.
Toys"R"Us is a US-based retailer of toy and juvenile products.
