The power project, which will cost approximately $250m, will be implemented under a public private partnership between Tata Africa and ZESCO.
The president said that the new facility will help provide reliable power supply in Itezhi-Tezhi, Mumbwa Area, North-Western Province, Western Province and Zambia as a whole.
Zambia now plans to continue the development of new power projects in all parts of the country to ensure reliable and secure supply of electricity to the Zambian economy, reports LusakaTimes.com
