The power project, which will cost approximately $250m, will be implemented under a public private partnership between Tata Africa and ZESCO.
The president said that the new facility will help provide reliable power supply in Itezhi-Tezhi, Mumbwa Area, North-Western Province, Western Province and Zambia as a whole.
