The integration will empower ista customers with information about their energy usage and deliver the ability to control thermostats and other smart devices for further savings, the company said.
The ista Energy Intelligence Platform is a distributed application infrastructure that provides data analysis on customers’ consumption and energy cost patterns, and how they match up to their financial and usage-based energy plans.
Energy Intelligence Platform leverages ista’s competitive market billing capabilities to make it easy for customers to understand the financial impacts of their lifestyles – even if a customer is on an electric rate that is derived from the real-time market price of energy. By integrating ista’s EIP with the Control4 EMS 100, ista can optimize its energy efficiency programs, particularly during peak load or pricing periods.
EMS 100 includes an in-home energy controller, the Control4 EC-100, and a ZigBee HA wireless thermostat, the Control4 WT-100. Powered by Control4 Advantage software, the Control4 EMS 100 provides consumers with information about their energy usage and costs. Coupled with automation and control of ZigBee HA thermostats and other smart devices throughout the house, the EMS 100 is designed to drive further savings for homeowners.
