Murninnie-1 is the final well on the current PEL92 drilling program that has resulted in new oil field discoveries at Perlubie South and Butlers.
No further announcement regarding this current drilling campaign is expected.
Looking ahead, the PEL92 JV (Beach Petroleum Limited 75% and Cooper Energy 25%) is planning to evaluate the prospectivity of the area covered by the current 3D seismic datasets in order to define near-field targets that have the potential to be included in a follow-up drilling campaign.
In parallel, the PEL92 JV is considering the acquisition of new 3D seismic outboard of the existing oil fields so that further prospects can be identified for drilling. As an example, the seismic would be expected to be useful for the identification of further prospects on the newly delineated Parsons, Perlubie, Perlubie South and Butlers oil fields structural trend.
