The contract, with a commencement date of November 1, 2010, allows for haulage of a total of 7.0Mtpa of coal from the mines to the coal terminal. Macarthur Coal owns 73.3% of the Coppabella and Moorvale mines through the CMJV.
Nicole Hollows, managing director and CEO of Macarthur Coal said: ”Macarthur Coal has used Pacific National for supplementary capacity over the last six months and has been pleased with their commitment to delivery and flexibility.
“The signing of this additional contract provides Pacific National and the CMJV with the ability to replicate this performance across the Coppabella and Moorvale operations.”
