The 360kW solar system in Pleasanton was completed in four months and is part of the city’s effort to reduce its carbon footprint and associated energy costs. The system was designed and built by CEI, and is comprised of 1568 rooftop-mounted 230W modules.

The 36,190W DC-rated solar system in Novato sits atop a corrugated steel rooftop at the city’s corporate yard and turns previously unused roof space into an energy-generating asset for the city.

Daniel Smith, director of operations for the city of Pleasanton, said: “We are excited to unveil our largest renewable energy project to date to reduce our collective environmental impact and energy costs. We chose Cupertino Electric not only for its competitive pricing, but also for its history of safety and ability to reliably design and build complex solar projects.”
