The subsidiary Riggs Distler & Company (Riggs Distler) has secured a $9.5m contract for installation of two rapid-start coal-fired boilers.

The boilers are to be installed at Veolia Energy North America’s Grays Ferry power plant in Philadelphia, US state of Pennsylvania.

The project is scheduled to commence shortly and conclude in July 2012.

Another $8m engineering procurement and construction contract was awarded to Riggs Distler by a US based electricity provider for installation of a 5MW utility grade photovoltaic solar ground mounted system in southern New Jersey.

Work on the project is expected to start shortly and will be spread out over a three-month period.

It also includes a $4m contract by Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) to Riggs Distler for the design and installation of as many as 800 electricity distribution poles in New Jersey.

Work will be carried out in the first six months of 2012.

Other contracts includes a new $6.8m contract from Hydro-Québec to the subsidiary Thirau ltée (Thirau) for construction of a 37km 120kV transmission line.

The line will connect a wind farm at Saint-Robert-Bellarmin to the Bolduc substation at Saint-Martin, Canada and work is scheduled to begin in January 2012 and expected to be completed four months later.
