To develop the project, the company has been allocated 1,720 acres of land at Bhambhore near Gharo in Sindh province.

The government of Pakistan has assured to resolve the matter about the confirmation of power evacuation from National Transmission And Despatch Company and approval for up-grant tariff from the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra).

Hydro China Dawood Power CEO Wang Yong Qiang said that the company has received letter of interest, letter of supports, feasibility from Alternative Energy Development Board, generation licenses and determined generation tariff from Nepra, however the matters pertaining upfront-tariff and conformation for power evacuation as per company schedule were yet be resolved.

The project is scheduled to commence operations in June 2015.
