Work under the contract includes the installation and trenching of a total of 136km long offshore export cables and a 23km interlink cable for the project.
The cables will be pulled ashore near Heysham and will link the two offshore sub station platforms at the windfarm, DeepOcean said.
DeepOcean will carry out the offshore work using its new cable installation vessel Maersk Connector in 2017.
This is the second contract for DeepOcean’s Maersk Connector, which will join the company’s fleet in the first quarter 2016.
The contract will also require DeepOcean to provide route engineering.

The Walney Extension Project including WOW03 (west) and WOW04 (east) will have up to 90 turbines each with a 7MW or 8MW output.
