The Donner #1 well was spud on May 28, 2010 and the targeted depth of 7,600ft was attained on June 4, 2010. A range of electric logs was run to total depth and these have indicated approximately 20ft of hydrocarbon pay.
As per this initial data, the company and its partner have decided to set production casing. The company will evaluate the expected production rates and it has directed its consultants to set locations for additional wells, as well as to assess the opening up of reserves within Donner #1 with lateral drilling.
The Texas prospect contemplates the drilling of a total of three wells in the Newton County area.
