This co-operation agreement, which becomes effective in mid-2009, reportedly helps Deutsche Postbank provide its five million debit card customers access to cash across Germany.
These transactions are expected to be made possible using cash recycling technology, where ordinary cash boxes at Shell stations will double as teller machines. The cash boxes will reportedly be used to keep payments made by customers.
