Anurag Agarwal, Managing Director of DHBVN, in a statement said For that, it (the Nigam) would construct 47 new sub-stations of 33-KV level and augment capacity of 15 existing substations of 33-KV level during 2009-10. This project would include erection of new 33 KV lines, installation of capacitors on the substations and erection of additional high tension lines, to emanate from these substations.

Agarwal also said that an amount of INR500 million has been allotted for the trifurcation and bifurcation of overloaded feeders and installation of 11 kV feeders.

He also asserted that 100 overloaded feeders would be bifurcated or trifurcated under this project. Their full system would be revamped to reduce unnecessary interruptions in supply and to avoid low voltage, during rehabilitation of feeders.
