The installations produce higher quality lighting and reduce overall energy consumption up to 90% or 2.3 million kWh annually.

Groom Energy and Americold have plans to upgrade facilities in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois and Texas, and these projects are expected to reduce an additional 3.3 million kWhsand 3.25 million pounds of carbon dioxide per year.

Groom Energy said it has developed customized configurations for each location, managing all installation, system commissioning and training at Americold facilities.

The mesh networked lighting system continuously tracks and reports energy consumption and savings.
