Long-term power purchase, interconnection, engineering, procurement and construction, as well as operation and maintenance agreements are already in place for each of the projects that are located in Fresno, Kern and Kings counties of California.

Work on the projects started in the first quarter of 2014, with commercial operations due in late 2014 or early 2015.

Dominion chairman, president and CEO Thomas Farrell II said the projects fit well within company’s portfolio of regulated and long-term contracted assets.

"This investment is another important step forward for Dominion as we expand our renewable energy portfolio," added Farrell II.

Dominion owns 41MW of solar energy at its Georgia, Connecticut and Indiana sites.
