The 838MW unit was last shut down for refueling from 7 May to 7 June 2012, Reuters reports.
Even though the company did not specify the outage duration, but the news agency estimates it to last for a month.
The shut down comes a week after Dominion finished a scheduled refueling at its North Anna Power Station’s Unit 1, which is located along Lake Anna in Louisa County, US, as reported by Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Meanwhile, the Unit 2 of the Surry nuclear power plant will remain at full power during the outage.
