The first phase involves construction of facilities with a capacity to process 200 cubic feet of natural gas per day and fractionate 36,000 barrels of natural gas liquids per day.

Dominion president and CEO Thomas Farrell II said the Dominion is still in the process of acquiring additional producer commitments for a second phase of the project.

Upon signing the final agreements, the company will start the expansion of the facility to increase its processing capacity to 400 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and fractionating capacity to 59,000 barrels of natural gas liquids per day.

The company has purchase land from PPG Industries to construct the facility in Marshall County.

The products produced at the facility will be transported through the Dominion Transmission’s TL-404 pipeline, an existing pipeline in Ohio and West Virginia that was recently converted to handle wet gas.

About 90% of the works related to the construction of the first phase have been contracted by the company.

The first phase of the refinery is expected to commence operations by the end of 2012.
