The well, which is located east of the town of Pierson, in south western Manitoba, was drilled into the Spearfish formation and is light sweet crude.
The operator is now waiting for a fracing unit, which is expected before month end, according to the company.
BDR said that it has a significant interest in the results from this well as it has recently acquired a 25% interest in several leases in the immediate area.
BDR has a 5% gross and 4% net participation in the well.
