The platform named DolWin beta will be built for the DolWin wind farm cluster near Dollart, in the German sector of the North Sea.
The fabrication of GBS Platform will start in July 2012 and is expected to be delivered in December 2013.
The platform structure will be built for Aibel, who is a supplier to ABB.
ABB has been contracted by the German transmission grid operator TenneT to deliver a turnkey solution for the power transmission link, connecting the offshore wind farms to the German mainland grid, including the offshore platform, the offshore and onshore converter stations and the land and sea cable systems.
Drydocks World is an international maritime service provider.
Aibel is the Norwegian provider of services to the energy industry.
