The news source quoted Mr Bernotat as saying that only the German government could play an instrumental role in ensuring the creation of a unified national grid. He noted that E.ON was willing to support the government, if it participates in the bundling process.
Mr Bernotat, as quoted by the Financial Times, said: If other German grid operators were to sell their grids as well, the grids could be bundled into German Power Grid AG, which would lead to development and the realization of synergies.
