ECOtality Corporate Development vice president Colin Read said, "Building a sustainable infrastructure means offering EV drivers the opportunity to integrate the responsibilities of daily life, with the ability to charge their vehicles along the way."

The Blink Network of charging stations will allow EV drivers to conveniently charge at Blink commercial locations along the way.

ECOtality is the project manager of The EV Project, which is a public-private partnership.

The project will study EV infrastructure to support the deployment of EVs in key markets, by collecting and analyzing data from vehicles and chargers.

The project was funded in part by the US Department of Energy through a federal stimulus grant and made possible by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

US-based ECOtality is engaged in clean electric transportation and storage technologies.
