Covering provision of comprehensive site support services at the Chinon, Nogent, and Belleville nuclear power plants (NPP), the contract includes a five year performance period, and an option for two additional years.
Specific services to be provided will include the coordination and performance of logistical, facility maintenance, handling, and lifting operations.
Areva Back End business group senior executive vice-president Dominique Mockly said, "The award of this contract demonstrates the group’s ability to offer integrated and innovative solutions that meet the needs of its customers and strengthens the partnership between AREVA and EDF."
Mobilizing the experience and expertise of over 400 group employees, the contract will also lead to the creation of more than 200 jobs, according to the company.
