The project is located Solano County, California and employs 50 REpower MM92 turbines to produce sufficient electricity for 40,000 American homes.
Commenting on the developments EDF Renewable Energy president and CEO Tristan Grimbert remarked that the project represents the progress and technical innovation in the wind power industry.
The company also secured financial closure of the project via a sale-leaseback transaction involving the Union Bank of California Leasing.
"We extend our appreciation to Union Bank for their commendable effort and collaboration, which marks the third financing arrangement between our companies in 2012," added Grimbert
Electricity produced at the facility will be procured by Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
PG&E procurement senior vice president Fong Wan noted, "Shiloh IV demonstrates our ongoing commitment to provide PG&E’s customers with sustainable green power today and as California marches forward into a clean energy future."
