The country’s government has approved a decree transferring ownership of the Chicamba and Mavuzi hydroelectric dams to EDM, Cabinet spokesman Alberto Nkutumula told reporters.
Sociedade Hidroelectrica de Revue (SHR) previously owned the projects, which have a combined capacity of 88MW. Reporters were told that SHR had abandoned the projects in 1978.
