The future power plant will consist of two blocks with a capacity of 400MW each. Electrabel said that it will be equipped with the best technology that is currently available, and shall reach a degree of efficiency surpassing 57%. The volume of investment will be approximately E500 million, and approximately 30 enduring jobs will be created once the power plant is in operation.
Apart from the construction of these CCGT facilities, the company is also planning the construction of two coal fired power plants in northern Germany and considering investments in renewable energies.
