Under the agreement, Emcor Energy will provide energy services such as energy management and planning, commissioning and advancements in energy, which will provide a simplified means for federal agencies to leverage professional energy services to make their properties more energy efficient.

Emcor Energy is located in all 11 GSA regions and has authorization to work through the GSA under all 11 Energy Special Item Numbers (SINS), regardless of where federal agencies’ facilities are located, or the number of properties involved and type of energy services are required.

The company said that using BPAs, federal agencies can save time and money by reducing the administrative burden of contract management, thereby being able to undertake money saving building optimization and energy efficiency projects faster.

The GSA designed the Comprehensive Energy Services BPA to assist federal agencies to pursue green initiatives and to meet the standards set forth in the various legislation.

Art Strenkert, president of Emcor Energy Services, said: ”Emcor Energy Services is very proud to have been chosen to help green our nation’s infrastructure. With an expert staff of LEED Accredited professional engineers, we are well qualified to help build America’s green future.

“We look forward to partnering with federal agencies to optimize and transform their facilities into high performance, energy efficient buildings.”
