Both companies are subsidiaries of wpd offshore, Bremen. EOS holds the rights to two offshore wind park projects at Hochseewindpark Nordsee and ‘He dreiht’. Offshore Ostsee Wind holds the rights to two offshore wind power projects at Kriegers Flak 1 and Baltic 1.

In parallel to acquiring the two project companies, EnBW has also signed a co-operation agreement with wpd, which will be provided with services to support it during the further development and implementation of the four projects.

In the Nordsee wind park 80 wind power installations are to be installed, with a total output of up to 400MW, and, initially, 80 wind power installations are also to be installed in the ‘He dreiht’ wind park, with the same total capacity.

Hans-Peter Villis, chairman of EnBW, said: These projects will enable us to build up to a total of 1,200MW installed wind power capacity, over time, in the medium term. The installations in these offshore wind parks have already been approved.
