After several years at Robert Bosch and Viag, now E.ON, Holzherr joined Energie Baden-Wurttemberg (EnBW) in 2000. Hans-Peter Villis, EnBW’s CEO, will assume temporary responsibility for the utility’s finance portfolio.

Dr Holzherr’s responsibilities included the integration of Neckarwerke Stuttgart into the EnBW group, building up and heading EnBW Regional as chairman of the management board and managing the TopFit drive to reorganize the group.

EnBW noted that the TopFit drive resulted in a sustainable reduction in costs of more than E1 billion per year for the firm.

Claus Hoffmann, chairman of EnBW’s supervisory board, said: We would like to thank Dr Christian Holzherr for the great commitment he has shown during his eight years with the company, the last three of which in his capacity as CFO. He made a significant contribution to the development of the company. We wish him all the best for the future.
