Ericsson said that the agreement allows Endesa to improve network efficiency and increase focus on its core business as Ericsson takes full responsibility of the daily operation of all services associated with the telecom network; network operations in the network operations center, maintenance, installation services, engineering and construction management.

Ingemar Naeve, head of Ericsson Spain, said: “This is a strategic project for Ericsson which permits to extend our successful managed services business model and our world-leading capabilities into the area of operations for other industries, such as enterprises and utilities.”

Endesa operates in various European countries and Morocco, and has approximately 23.5 million customers and about 24,500 employees worldwide.
