The successfull operations were carried out due to improvement of labor management system and qualification of the maintenance personnel.
This approach allows completing maintenance ahead of time and guarantees highly efficient and safe operation between overhauls.
The maintenance was carried out in three stages.
In the three stage process the personnel have repaired and partly refueled the reactor, overhauled steam generator-1 and main circulation pump-1, repaired safety systems 1, 2 and 3, overhauled the high-pressure cylinder, repaired turbine generator TVV-1000.
Unique attention was paid to control of metal and welded joints.
The personnel have also carried out various measures to enhance the efficiency and safety of the unit and to improve its technological processes.
More than 700 specialists and observers were involved in maintenance. Representatives of contractor organizations – Atomenergoremont OJSC, Atomresursservice Ltd, Yuglecktro OJSC, Sevkavenergomontazh OJSC and GEM have assisted them during the campaign.
