Of the total investment, around $150m will be utilized in the expansion of its 87MW Burgos wind farm in Ilocos Norte.
EDC noted that the company will increase the capacity of its Burgos wind power facility to 150MW, as part of the expansion plan.
Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas will supply the 29 V90-3.0 MW wind turbines for the wind power project.
EDC president and COO Richard B. Tantoco said that the wind power project is due approval on some of the permits that are expected to be issued over the next two or three weeks.
The wind power facility is expected to become operational by 2014.
Meanwhile, the remaining $225m will be invested in the 50MW Mindanao 3 geothermal project in Kidapawan, North Cotabato.
