Eni said Marulk is a natural gas and condensate field, with estimated reserves of 74.7 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE).

Its daily production is 20,000 BOE, of which 4,000 belongs to Eni.

The field, whose plan for development and operation has been approved by the Ministry of Oil and Energy in July 2010 has been developed through a fast-track development project in less than two years.

The Marulk field is part of the PL122 license held by Eni (20%) with Statoil (50%) and DONG (30%).

The Italian company now produces about 135,000 BOE/day in Norway.
