During the meeting held in Rome between the President of Pakistan, Asif Zardari and Eni Chief Executive Officer, Paolo Scaroni, discussions covered this assignment as well as further developments of the protocol of cooperation signed in March 2008 between Eni and the Government of Pakistan. Paolo Scaroni also expressed Eni’s commitment to continuing as a strategic partner in the development of Pakistan’s oil sector by making the company’s expertise and technologies available.
Eni currently holds 22 exploration and production licenses in Pakistan including: 15 exploration licenses (three offshore and 12 onshore), and seven production or development licenses (three operated).
