The project will be set up under ‘Solar Park Concept’ in Telangana. This will help the state to tackle the crunch in power supply.
The state transmission corporation has already issued a `Letter of Intent’ to Enrich Energy for establishing the plant under the power purchase agreement at a preferential tariff.
In a statement, Enrich Energy Kanchal said, "We at Enrich Energy are committed towards developing the renewable energy sector in India and are happy to partner with the government of Telangana in their clean energy initiative."
Enrich has built and commissioned a private Solar Park in the state of Maharashtra at a single site.This park has an installed capacity of 40MW.
Currently, the company is developing two projects – of 25 MW and 50 MW in Maharashtra and Gujarat, respectively
With the completion of the latest project, Enrich will have an installed capacity of 175 MW of solar power.
In addition, the company plans to offer innovative solutions for small retail investors to establish small private projects with an installed capacity of 1 MW.
